I have an old one that I haven't used in years. It is VW only, and just mounts to a bench, but you need a really sturdy bench. It's nothing beautiful, but it works. You could have it for $30, including shipping. > I was thinking about the > clutch plate and the flywheel. Anyone use one of those lighter flywheels? > What would the advantage be? The lightened flywheel makes for quicker shifts, but with the reduced momentum it is less driveable for street use. Your heads are fine with unleaded gas as long as you use the proper exhaust valves with the chrome plated stems. If you get the guides replaced, be sure to use the bronze guides, not the cast iron ones. All VWs have come with heads that are suitable for non-leaded gas since about 1966. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
