I did a lot of research on rust protection and I decided to go with Rust Bullet.
I can't compare it to the others (POR-15, etc.) because I've never used them. I
bought a pint of Rust Bullet and put it on a rear fender that I had stripped of
paint. I also put some on the rusty frame of our pop-up camper. It's too early
to tell, but it appears to be adhering well. If you decided touse it, make sure
you don't use a rust converter first (like Navel Jelly or other acid-based
converters)-- they will cause Rust Bullet to flake off. Also, don't leave the can
open! I went to great lengths to cover the can while I was using it. Despite that,
I still had a thick 'skin' on the leftover stuff when I re-opened it. Either use
it all at once or expect a big loss due to 'skinning'.
Like I said, I can't personally compare it to anything else, but I liked it enough
that I am ordering more of it today to do the rest of my Fastback.
