It's been OK for years but I will certainly check it anyway.
They guy who's done all our welding has a self confessed "magic
touch" which can make electrics fail at 20 paces.

I agree it a tad risky, but once the engine stops I'll hear the
pump running on and remember to switch it off. Until the problem
is truly fixed I need the security of a locking switch to get
me home if it happens on the road.
