In about 1972, way before I had any real stash of parts, I needed some parts to build a second engine, so I bought a bunch of stuff from a place in CA that parted out engines and sold parts. One of the things I bought was a flywheel. At some point I discovered that this flywheel was not the same as the one in my '68 square. It was a 6V 200mm flywheel. I called the place and they promptly replaced it and asked me to send the 6V flywheel back. I still remember their surprise: They didn't think they had ANY of those flywheels anywhere in all their stuff. My impression is that these were always very special items, much sought after by the hot rod crowd. I think a replacement is going to be hard to find. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
