Re: [T3] Hoods won't open...

<x-flowed>Thanky, there is ZERO rust on my baby. I'd be hard pressed to find a spot anywhere. It has lived in the desert all its life. I suspect the hood may be slightly misaligned. So IF I get it opened... How does one rightly align a 2mm misalignment??

ONE thing to consider is...Is the car rusting out
downstairs? Is it becoming a front-end "low rider" as
time goes by?

If the body arms that hold the front axle assembly
to the car are sagging due to rust, the whole front
end will get bent...thus making the hood opening
progressively harder and harder.

By the way...at this point, the hood will often open
even though you don't hear the release noise. Pull
lever, then Go up front and just PULL it up.
Well...this worked for me for a few years.

Then decide if you can spend god-knows how much to
un-do the rust...essentially re-doing the car frame.
Anyone got spare frames in their garages?
