Check your battery voltage in the morning, after it has sat without charging over night. If the voltage has fallen below 12V it is likely that you have a shorted cell, which is the end of the road for the battery. You can check the battery voltage right at the fuse box. Just find a fuse that is live. Do this for several mornings in a row, just in case you've got something that is intermittent. A glowing gen light at high rpm could either be a generator problem, or an ignition switch problem. You might want to monitor the voltage difference between 2 fuses while you drive. Choose 1 that is hot all the time and one that is only turned on by the ignition switch. Oh, and don't forget to watch where you're driving! ;-) -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
