Depending on when your engine was built. The difference is in the diameter of the oil suction pipe. The early one had a 12mm suction pipe. The stock oil screen was just a rounded dome shape. The next was 14mm diameter. Its screen was was dome shape, but with a grooved depression in the top of the screen. The third was 16mm, and the screen is the one with the aluminum piece in the middle, and the spring piece inside. this spring was a relief for when the screen was plugged with ice or sludge. The thing with these CB Perfpormance add-ons, do they fit your engine and connect to the suction pipe properly. OH, too, I am looking for a good oil screen for my '64 Ghia. The one that came out of it was corroded thru from sitting for 40 years with sludge in it. I have bought a couple on line even specifiying the 14mm one, but I still get the late model for the 16mm suction. -- Russ Wolfe '71 FB AT '66 FB MT '64 T34 (not running) '65 T1 (not running) russw@classicvw.org http://www.classicvw.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
