I THINK that all you need to do is to get the transmission centered between the diagonal arms. This should be easy on an MT: Just measure from the pinch weld on the diagonal arm to the center of the casting rib on the bottom of the transmission. Then move the engine from side to side to make these measurements equal. As far as front-to-back goes, I think you just want the rubber mounts to be stress free. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
