I know there has been debate on carb versus fuel injection, and i would prefer to go back to the fuel injection, not sure i'm up to the task, technically or financially. Just thought someone might have some input as to the best way to go. I've really enjoyed the posts in the past and have admired the way you guys help each other out. Thanks! >> The biggest thing you need to determine is whether or not the FI wiring harness is still there. I only say that because a good harness is essential. If it's not there, or isn't in really good condition, you might want to convert to carbs, until you gather ALL the FI parts you're going to need, then sell the carbs on the Samba to someone looking for a set. I'm only suggesting this, since your engine is already converted to a carb, and t-3 duals will fit under the floor deck. You've already got a low pressure fuel pump in place to run them too, so your major expense would be the carbs and intakes themselves, along with the air cleaner. This set up works very well, and both Russ and the Samba have tuning instructions to help in setting them up. For most of us here who use the dual Solex 32's, they are basically a set it and forget it deal. Although there are some who still can't quite get it right too, right Keith? ;-) Jim, Keith or Russ might be able to give you a complete list of parts needed to return the car to FI. This might let you decide on whether or not you have everything needed. I hope this helps.
