That's certainly possible. The Brazilians seemed perfectly willing to try all 
the combinations and permutations of VWs. I once saw, here in Madison, a VW 
that was a bug underneath with a Rabbit body on top. This was original, from 
Brazil, not a Frankenwagen built put together by someone.

Basically it was an air-cooled, rear-engine, rear wheel drive Rabbit with an 
extra heavy duty suspension.
