The blue "scrubber" was there in 68-9 and was gone by '71, when it was replaced 
by the spring. I think '70 got the spring.

Did early cars have the spring, too? If so, when did the scrubber start?

I liked the scrubber, but I think they caused some problems in cold weather. 
They tended to ice up with combustion moisture and clog the breather. Most of 
them were removed and thrown away by mechanics. I still have one, however, 
which I won on ebay a few years ago.
