That seems odd. Since there is always a bit of oil in there I'd never expect 
those bolts to seize up. I've never had the least bit of trouble with them.

Are you SURE that you're trying to turn them the right way? It's easy to get 
turned around once you're under there on your back.   ;-)

I believe the OE bolts for that location had a special 12 point star head. If 
yours are different I wonder if someone replaced them with 5/16"-24 bolts and 
forced them in there....
