VW dropped yellow cars in 83 due to the lead (or cadmium?) pigment problem, but now use safe pigments. I guess that means don't dry sand Texas yellow bodies. I think Japan is even more environmentally sensitive than the USA, unless they didn't take any notice of the Kyoto protocol (either?). Dave.
