Then I realized that it was just too cheap, so I scrolled down a few messages and found the correction. ;-) Yes, $850 is certainly a chunk of change. If you get a different TC, I'd make sure that you end up with the late style. I have a good one here if that helps. I'm not sure if replacing the TC is necessary, but I don't know much about ATs and how the ATF moves around in them. If rebuilding them cleans out any debris and if debris is likely to accumulate in there, then it's probably necessary. If your '69 has the early style AT with the separate side covers, I'd suggest trying to find a good used later one, up thru '71. Russ?
