Keep in mind that the ultimate pressure anywhere in the system is limited by the compression ratio. If this is a 2 stage (series, not parallel) compressor then this is the compounded compression ratio. Nevertheless, I don't think even 1000 psi is a possibility. It's clear, however, that your part gave out and that you were lucky to be elsewhere. Interesting experience! Did it require a change of shorts? ;-) -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
