Jim -- or anyone -- what are the advantages of > installing them one at a time? There are a couple of advantages to installing them one at a time. I think all such advantages disappear if you have a real lift, however. For the rest of us: 1) The engine ie heavy enough by itself; adding the tranny just make it harder to horse around onto a jack and then up into the air. 2) It's easier to get to the CV joints and some of the tranny cables, the starter wires, etc, with the engine still out of the way. One more thing: The AT is easier to mate to the engine than the MT. You just have to make sure that you have the drive shafts ALL the way in before you install the TC. You can tell when everything is right by the fact that no part of the TC extends rearward of the engine/tranny mating plane. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
