I'm probably like most of us, I keep any old part regardless of its 
usefulness.  This boot would probably be of more use to me than most.  I 
always like having any kind of spare part, especially with this vehicle.

I checked with NAPA regarding the availability of the part number you gave 
me.  They did not have it in stock, but said they could get it.  They told 
me that their listing showed an application for that part for a 411 & 412, 
but nothing about 311.  I assume that the steering linkage for both models 
is the same.
