DOH! on my stupid part. Well, at least that was an easy fix. ;-) > From my visual inspection, I have an early cylinder head temp. sensor. > Judging by the pictures in the books I should readily see the late model > temp. sensor. If it goes in from the top and seems to end there, then that is the late mounting. If it goes in there and then seems to slip rearward and disappear then it may be headed to the early location, or possibly to some alternate location that was cobbled up when the head was replaced. On the early heads you can see the sensor from below. It's mounted on a tab that sticks straight down from the # 4 exhaust flange. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
