Yes, there's something dramatically wrong. That's way too low. > >One common problem with this FI system is that it runs rich if the charging > >system voltage is low. Check that the hose to the pressure sensor is attached at both ends. Use a clean piece of hose to suck on the pressure sensor and make sure that it is leak tight. With the engine running, look for gas leaks onto the pavement under the car. Do you smell gas? Does the exhaust smell really rich? How do the spark plugs look? Grab the distributor rotor and rotate it clockwise. It should rotate smoothly and then stop. When you release it, it should snap back smartly. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
