I don't know whether there are other options, but my VDO pressure sender has contacts for both the guage and the warning light. It's quite a bit larger than the stock switch, and I think you're right to anticipate clearance problems above the cooler, but it might just fit, or maybe require just a little persuasion of the air cleaner.
