Well, the Fasty is at her new home in Hamden, CT. After a bit of a rigamarole with U-Haul, I managed to finally bring her home today, and as of 11:00pm this fine evening, she's in my garage. A couple of observations: She was parked in working order with fresh oil in Sept. 2004 with 2 gallons of fuel in the tank. Obviously that fuel was no good, but with a fresh batch of fuel she started up (a little hard, but she started hard back then too). I have this list to thank for the information on needing to pressurize the fuel loop if the car's been standing. Now that she's in my garage, I can begin the process of cleaning her up and getting her running a little better. I got a 25' roll of Goodyear 5/16 fuel line which is first on the agenda, as the #3 injector shows signs of leaching fuel out the hose. She'll be getting new hose all around. Then, new brake hoses all around and a full once-over and brake fluid flush. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
