OK I won't tell you to crawl under. If you can turn the engine by hand (ie not seized), find the connector in the thick red wire that runs by the tunnel (not sure if it's driver's side or the passenger on LHD, but on mine it goes past the battery). Open up that connector and touch the rear connector on the battery +. It may free the starter by putting a bit more through it, bypassing corroded switch etc. If not, you'll have to get the car out of the parking space by pushing then you could c---- u---- (what I said I wouldn't say!) and try a coin across the two terminals onn the starter/solenoid. Not sure if auto makes a difference in any of this - don't know auto-trans. Dave.
