yes.  but I replaced the starter as well,

you probably wanted to know if the bushing was the only problem.

It's possible the old starter was worth trying, but I was short on 
time..
I just didn't want a bad bushing to put a strain on the new starter.
[ But in my head, I do hear the lecture about not just willy nilly 
replacing parts. ]

The new starter seemed to work well in the old bushing for the week 
that I had it like that.
