Just start tapping, and when the tap hist bottom, keep going, and it will pull the bushing right out. For driving the bushing, find a long bolt that will just fit into the bushing, and screw a nut on just slightly less than the bushing depth. Drive on the head of the bolt. 6V bushings, I believe it is 10mm, which means you can use the bolt and nut that you took out to get the starter out.
