Putting grease in the lift channel under the window does make a HUGE difference. That's a very rewarding process. I don't follow you about the door lock and the 45 deg, however. Something is out of alignment, what is it? I doubt if you need to remove the rear channel, and this gets pretty complicated in a hurry, but to do this, you have to remove the glass from the door, then peel the "felt" channel out of the rear part of the steel channel that you're trying to remove. Remove the bolt, and yank the rear metal channel down. Don't lose anything. The problem with doing this is that it inevitably deforms the felt channel, and it is hard to get it back right again. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
