> Use it as quality time, get the wife or older kids out there helping. Of > course, Bob AKA hubby, also paints, and we've been helping him out for years now. Yes, I've found that wives can sometimes successfully be called upon to help out with wet-sanding the fiddly bits like the air louvres - well, their fingers are that bit smaller! This way you may also get to do it in the comfort of the house, since they certainly will object to working in the garage if the temp/humidity isn't just right. Of course you have to put up with the comments for years after, but that's better than having to keep re-touching the "professional" respray! I sold my Bay camper at the weekend - guy just walked up to son Steve and asked if it was for sale. We were wondering if it would get any use if I repaired the body and made it look smaty again. Well, the family came round the next day and took a good look, and now it's gone - lovely idea that they will enjoy it, that I won't have to do the welding repairs after all, and that there's space on the drive again. I reckon that Bus had decided I wasn't about to get on repairing it! Dave.
