Okay, to check up on you guys, I went back and looked at my old paper copy of the type 3 parts list. That one lists a 311 part # for the heater cable, so it appears that the 133 part superceeded the original 311 part. Double-checking an old Back-Arnley parts book, I find that the 133 heater cable is listed both for type 3s (from 67-on) and 73-4 Super Beetles.
