In fact, here's a very interesting site where a guy covers the sound and insulation improvements he did to his Bus: http://www.type2.com/library/heat/heat-soundproof.html I've given a good deal of thought of applying some of the principles here (particularly in the sound deadening area) to my Fasty as I do the restoration. Of interest was the floorpan- this guy used Q-pads, but it sounds to me that permanently bonding sound deadeners to my pan might not be such a great idea, especially if/when there's a water leak. I think I'd much rather get something that I can more or less shape into the position I'd like, but is removable. That said, whatever I do get has to also allow for the carpeting to be installed without causing too much grief. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
