Are these on stock rims? If so, I think even 195s would be too wide. I had a
pair of 185s on stock rims in the early 70s, just on the rear, and IIRC they
were at the limit of what Michelin deemed acceptable.
They are 5.5" sprint stars. the stocks are 5" right? 5.5" is the smallest rim in a 195/60's range as far as I could tell.

and the other tires specs on that site, there are even a lot of 205/60s that will fit on a 5.5" rim.
seems like the 5" - 5.5" is a huge cutoff point.
