I've been happily driving my Squareback since I got the rebuilt heads and solexes installed. However, my valve cover gaskets have been leaking. I installed them a little less carefully than I usually do. So I've been checking my oil often just in case until I can redo them. About 120 miles after the rebuilding I checked the oil again this morning - it was over full. The time before it registered between a quart low and full. I THINK is smells a bit like gas. What could be the problem here? I'm still running the facet electric fuel pump the PO installed. I haven't had a chance to change that. The heads were rebuilt by RIMCO. I've only ever heard good things about them so although we can't rule out bad valve guides, it seems unlikely. The only thing I can think of is that I might have done something wrong when I rebuilt the carbs. I don't think it is running rich. Anybody got any ideas? What should I check next? Martin.
