You can put your hand on it and feel it click. It is probably NOT the problem, it's just a symptom. It sounds to me like they messed up some of the FI wiring, so that your fuel pump isn't running continuously. It's quite possible that the whole FI system is also intermittent. Here are some things to check. There is a FI ground wire on the top center of the case. Make sure it is tight and that the wire is intact. There is a 2-way connection just to the left of center of the body bulkhead just ahead of the engine, between the FI harness and the body harness. Make sure this connection is inserted correctly and not loose. Make sure that the main power relay under the back seat is securely screwed to the seat frame. Make sure that the 2 white wires which connect from the main wiring harness to the FI harness in the far LF corner of the engine bay are intact and securely connected. These may be hard to find, and hidden behind the pressure sensor. If you don't find anything, post your location to this list, and ask if there's any listee in your area who might be more familiar with the FI wiring who would be willing to look at yours. -- Jim Adney jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, WI 53711-3054 USA ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
