Re: [T3] bentley manual

<x-flowed>Just curious, but wouldn't this one Bentley fulfill his needs? I am curious because I am contemplating purchasing this one as well for my '63 Notch:

It is kinda pricey, but Bentley's are the best.....

This manual appears to be for 68-73. Does it matter that mine is apparently a 66?

That's correct. The Bentley will still be useful for everything other than the carbs and the 6V electrical system. Much of the electrical system will be similar, however. To cover early years, I usually recommend that you get a Bentley AND a Haynes:

VW 1500 & 1600 Type 3, 1963 thru 1973, Haynes 084 (US)
by J H Haynes and D H Stead
published by Haynes North America, Inc, 1974, 1987, 1989, 1993
ISBN 0-900550-84-8

This will cover the carbs and the 6V electrics. I have a really beat up one of these here, but new ones are still in print.
