Good idea. When I brought mine home the 1st time, some idiot had the wiring from the dizzy to the plugs on in some kind of code. Somehow it was running, just barely, but running. When I went to time it, there was nothing with it on TDC. So, I removed all of the wires from the dizzy & started from scratch. Remember the #1 is at the notch on the top edge of the dizzy and then the order is 1, 4, 3, 2 going clockwise on the dizzy. Rough set your timing (statically) & try it again.
