That is probably the infamous 009 dist. It's widely sold to people who don't 
know any better as an upgrade. At this point you should just make sure that it 
has a functioning advance mechanism. [Grab the rotor and turn it CW; it should 
turn about 1/2" and then snap back smartly when you let go of it. If it 
doesn't, you have no advance and no power.
