Ah, I see from a more careful look at the pic there aren't any flat grey
washers. I thought the metal rings for the clamps were the washers I've
acquired.
I probably picked up the fibre washers on a parts stall and they're nothing to
do with Type 3s or the fitting kit.  Close in size, but maybe not heat proof
anyway.
