You may be looking at deformed diagonal arms, although I've never seen them that I knew of. The weight you're carrying around doesn't sound like it should be a problem. Without knowing the speed bumps and how fast you take them it's impossible to know if they should be a problem. It's not the deflection that hurts these parts, it's the sudden shock that forces some parts to bend before others have a chance to deflect. I wonder if there's a way to gauge the diagonal arms for straightness while they're installed. The two are identical, so they should not have any bend to them. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
