FI was standard in the US from 68-73. It will probably take some doing to get 
it running, but getting the FI working right will be cheaper and easier than 
swapping over to carbs. Take your time and ask questions.

You are correct that the FI and the brakes are the 2 areas that are likely to 
give you trouble after sitting this long.
