Don't need a very careful comparison.  Pausing the DVD and holding the 
part up (from my '71 Jane) it is very clearly the same part.  They 
didn't even modify it all all.  The ridges are exactly the same.  There 
is a silver tube coming off the bottom at a 45 degree angle or so that 
corresponds to one of the outlets of the "box".  Very cool.

Makes me curious.  I wonder if there are any other Type 3 parts in the 
movie.  Hard to imagine that they just happened to have that one part 
laying around.  Wonder if they had a Type 3 that they scavengered for 
props.  Will have to watch some of the junk scenes a bit closer.  There 
are lots of them in the movie.  Bound to be some other Type 3 parts in 
there somewhere. <G>
