Apparently ALL 67-8s got it, but it's also possible that the M267 was standard 
for type 3s imported into the US in '66. If so, then it would make the hunt for 
a replacement axle tube and retainer a lot more assured of success.

Here's what M267 says:

M 267 AUXILIARY SPRING FOR REAR AXLE
      F             --  366 500 000                     361-368

 Do you know how Sophy originally got into the US?
