PrabhuC=> the bottom studs go in but the engine doesnt => seem to want to go in. It's completely normal to hang up at this point. First make sure that the motor and the transmission are aligned and you're not trying to poke it at an angle. I'll assume that if you changed the clutch you aligned it first, but if you forgot that step you'll want to go back and fix it. You're at the point where the transaxle drive shaft is slotting into the clutch plate. Sometimes they'll go in easily, but usually you have to fiddle a bit to get the teeth to align. You can to this by putting the car in gear and rotating the rear wheels (off the ground, of course), by putting a wrench on the motor and turning it a bit, or by wriggling the motor like a crazy person while you push it together. When I do this alone I generally wind up lying on my back behind the car with my feet on each side of the exhaust and one hand on the jack, lifting, pushing, wiggling, adjusting and feeling for the sweet spot until it pops in.
