Re: [T3] 1500S pistons


<x-flowed>Hmmm.. I could have sworn that Everett had mentioned that the requirement for 96 octane wasn't correct any more. I think this was because the octane ratings have changed since '64/'65 and that today's current 91/93 octane gas was more than enough for the 1500S pistons.

Please correct me if I'm wrong on this one but I could have sworn that there was a discussion similar to this on the list a few months back when I got my 1500S pistons at the classic. How can I tell what brand they are?

Yeah, I didn't want to have to hunt for the proper fuel. I can get 90
octane easily, but the "S"'s require 96.
I am going to either 1500 flat top, or 1600 flat top. If I can find
rings for them, I might even go with some 87mm's I have.
