36mpg (UK) is the best I've ever managed on a long cruising journey - certainly wouldn't call any of it city driving though, or high speed motorway. Do you notice any white deposit on the rear bumper after this? I used to when my CO was adjusted to 3%, but since have found 3.5% to 4% better, which gives about 34 mpg (UK), with stock twin carbs and about 86,000 miles on original engine. Dave.
