On occasion I've been able to find NOS rubber, but it doesn't last. There
are parts out there that aren't correct but can do the job, not sure where
they come from, maybe Type 1 land. It's a good bet that people who have the
right part are not likely to know what it's for. No one's reproducing them
as far as I know.

This is a purely practical part really, and I think the
bike-inner-tube-and-hose-clamp idea is a perfectly reasonable option.
