Try spraying with WD40 - it will rinse out excess and is a far lighter oil than 3-in-1, which I would have thought is too heavy for clocks. There should be a bit of original or thinned 3-in-1 left behind to do enough lubrication. If it doesn't work, it's no loss. 5 or 6 days before it stops suggests it may be a lubrication problem. Obviously the electronics are fine, and the hair-like electric coils are OK, and not abraded by the pendulum, so the main problems that kill these clocks are OK. Dave.
