Sounds like the sort of junction you need a ticket machine so the next
ticket-holder gets to go, like a deli counter. ;-)

But the intersection in Boston was NOT a roundabout. You were expected to wait
your turn then dash out and do whatever you needed to do. From any stop sign
any driver could go straight or choose from 2 different lefts or 2 different
rights.
The end result was very little traffic flow and lots of irritation.
