Well I briefly looked at my manual and > havnt shed light other than early motors had nada. That's certainly a drawing of a really early engine. Note the oil cooler adapter and the early muffler with attached rear heater boxes. I can't tell where that odd right angle hose from the breather goes, but I'm guessing that it enters the air cleaner somewhere. The parts list I've looked at sheds no light on this question, either. It doesn't even show the early teardrop-shaped breather box. -- ******************************* Jim Adney, jadney@vwtype3.org Madison, Wisconsin, USA ******************************* ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ List info at http://www.vwtype3.org/list | mailto:gregm@vwtype3.org ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
