[T3] front window interchangeability?

The drivers side window on my 69 notchback got smashed a while back and a
friend sent me a replacement window.  However it appears to be for the
passenger side as the lifter channel is facing backwards.  Is it possible to
just remove the lifter channel and flip it?  Or remove it and use the one
from the previous window?
