Not the battery, not the generator. Every one of these cars periodically
needs a good cleaning of all contacts -- connectors, switch and relay
spades, fuse box, ground straps, etc. It's fiddly work and a PIA, but once
it's done (carefully -- don't break any of those brittle old wires) your car
will be much more lively, especially if you have a 6V system that's never
been cleaned.
