Re: [T3] fender welting


One way of saving the old ones is to (with beading
taken off the car) sand the oxidation away from the
plastic. The ones on my blue fasty was more white than
blue, some fine sandpaper took away the white
oxidation and brought back the blue color. I then used
silicon spray to protect them from more oxidation.
This only works if the old ones are«nt comletely
gone..
When fitting, it helps to warm the beading a bit in
warm water, but not too much as they will then become
stone hard and almost impossible to fit without
cracking.
