My 2 cents... After years of reading how great Por 15 was suppose to be 
I finally got around to trying it. I used the hi-temp stuff on my gas 
heater and the regular stuff on a metal railing outside of my house. No 
way was I gonna put it on my beloved Type 3 without first testing it 
out! I followed the directions to the rule and the heater paint ended 
up cracking all over (before it was turned on and got hot) shortly 
after application and after 2 years of Minnesota weather the railing 
has just recently started to peel like a bad sunburn. I did use the 
topcoat as well, as the directions indicate.
